My Degree Program

黑料社 and your academic advisors provide the guidance and resources you need to tailor your academic program to meet your educational and career goals, and help you stay on track for completing your program as soon as possible, saving time and money.

Develop Your Educational Plan

Working with an Academic Advisor, you can create a customized educational plan for completing your degree. Your educational plan will show you which courses to take every semester through graduation, to ensure you take the right courses at the right time.

Your advisor will:

  • review your education and career goals,
  • review any transfer courses (that were already officially evaluated) and discuss other credit-worthy prior learning experiences,
  • discuss your program options such as concentrations and elective courses,
  • help you determine if you can earn a specialized Dual-Credit Certificate along the way,
  • even show you how you may be able to get a head-start on earning an advanced degree with Dual-Credit ADVANTAGE.

Follow your Educational Plan in Degree Works throughout the rest of your program.

Track Your Progress

Your Degree Audit (Worksheet) in Degree Works:

  • shows all your program requirements in a handy checklist, so you can see the courses you've completed and the courses you have remaining,
  • helps you avoid taking any courses that are not required for your program and may not be covered by federal financial aid.

Note: Students who started their current program prior to fall 2014 should see their academic advisor or program chair for degree information.

Change Your Major/Program

If you are considering changing your degree program (major):

  1. Use the What If feature of Degree Works to preview how your completed courses would fulfill the requirements of a different degree program prior to talking with an advisor.
  2. Contact an academic advisor or program coordinator to discuss the intended change.
  3. If the change is approved, an advisor will send you the appropriate form to request an official change of major. The Office of the Registrar will then update your program requirements in Degree Works and your student record.
